Teco Orders To be set as Deletion Flag

  Dear SAP Team,

     I need an clarification in regards to setting up of deletion flag on orders. We have around 10000 Production orders of previous years in which we want to set as deletion flag as we do not need those orders now for any month end closing activities.

    They are already at TECO Status , but when we try to put status as CLSD , it gives an error ..Hence it is very difficult to note those errors and rectify them. Errors might relate to existence of Purchase order of Job worker etc..

   Now mine question is if we put deletion flags to those TECO orders what will be its impact .. i.e without putting CLSD status.?

  or Should we keep continuing the present process of setting status TECO->CLSD->DLFL ? Please explain
