Hello all.
I have a material, let's call it material A. This material has unit of measure FT.
A is used in 3 BOM's directly (B,C and D). D is an assembly and it has unit of measure PC.
When using CS15 multi-level for A i get a result where the top 3 hits are B,C and D, the quantities listed for A are correct and the unit of measure is listed as FT.
It also displays all the BOM's that make use of D (remember that D is an assembly that includes A).
The quantity of A is correct (I've checked the BOM's) but the unit of measure is not FT, but PC. It appears that the where-used list displays the quantity of A correctly but displays the unit of measure for the assembly.
My question is: Is this an error? If not, can anyone explain to me why this is so? To me it does not make much sense to mix the unit of measure and the quantity across levels.
Any insights appreciated.
