How to assign different cost center to a work center with diff validity period

Dear SAP Gurus,

 

I want to assign a new cost center(which got created) for a existing work center effective 01.Jan.2016. I want to have the existing cost center assignment to continue till 31.12.2015.

 

Is it possible to do it now with different validity period (for both cost center) and if possible, can you please provide inputs on how to do the same.

 

Is the validity start and end date in costing tab refers to validity period of work center assignment to a cost center (I have highlighted in attached screenshot)

CO28 profiles

FYI: CO28 (old-COOIS) profiles can be edited in SM30: V_TCOAD using table IOHEADER or IOITEM. Sub-profiles can be edited from Extras-menu. Our production people prefer CO28 over COOIS.

Hi,

 

when I create a process order I have a material code that has no value in Batch Key field. So when I release for automatic batch determination, the system doesn't check the batch for that component. Instead, if I select the record and execute batch determination with button, I find the batch.

 

I've checked the material master data and the component is correctly batch managed.

 

What should I check?

Create reservation almost expired stock

Initial situation

  • Standard SAP does not take into account the batch level so a shortfall of stock due to expired shelf life will only be detected until the batch actually expires and in that case it can be too late to trigger additional purchasing and/or process orders to cope with the shortfall of stock.
  • Due to the lack of this functionality the potential obsolete stocks cannot be managed properly which results in higher obsoletes costs related to expired shelf life.

         It also can happen that requirements will be replenished too late which can result in out of stocks


Basic idea of solution

 

  • Run a batch job to create a reservation proposal against cost center XXXXXX with movement type 201 for those quantities which are according to Planning not used on the expiration.
  • The program is used in combination with a Z table of minimum guaranteed shelf life per Finished Products as agreed with the customers and the SAP Field ‘Minimum Remaining Shelf Life’ (MARA-MHDRZ) for non FERT material types.
  • After the expiration date the quantities will not longer be taken into account as a usable stock quantity by the MRP run and that will trigger the creation of new planned orders to meet the requirements.
  • It is decided to use the Z program “MRP with shelf life”.
  • By this, XXX may implement and roll-out this solution within the whole group. The solution consists of customizing and programming code and XXX will do this implementation on the XXX systems.
  • Program should be adjusted regarding automatically reservation (to post the stock to cost center). Instead the user will have the opportunity to make the reservation if wanted in the accompanying report. Also the selection option on Plant Level should be included.

How to get the scrap percentage for a production order?

Hi SAP Experts

 

Currently we are working on a new Production Order Report

 

We are trying to get the "scrap portion percentage" from a "closed" production order.

(The technical name for this is within an structure CAUFVD-APROZ, see screen attached).

 

 

We look up on the PP Order header (AFKO) and CAUFV table but we cannot find a percentage field

I only can find the "scrap portion field"

 

We understand the scrap portion is get from material master (MRP1 on the Assembly Scrap % field)

But it could be changed on later stage during the production process.

 

 

Therefor we would like to know:

 

a. It is there a table where we can get the scrap portion percentage?

 

b. Otherwise, how the system calculates the "scrap portion percentage" each time?

Dear SAP Experts,

 

I am facing an issue . We have developed application for production order creation to confirmation. When i start process it shows me error

No entry found/selected for search criteria   Message no. M7083

 

This application is working well on all user except one user in which this error is showing.  Please guide me how to resolve this reason and what is the logic behind it. Thanks

Reserved and Schedule for delivery qty is showing in during batch determination

Dear all,

We are facing a strange issue after EHP7 upgrade. In some of the process order during batch determination manually, reserved qty is also showing. Though it is not possible to allocate the qty with the batch. In another report (customized) which we use to check the free available stock,  there "schedule for delivery" qty is also shown sometimes. We have used function module AVAILABILITY_CHECK_EXECUTE .

Initially we checked in per application server basis. So in few servers the report was fine and in few servers the report was shoeing value with  "schedule for delivery" . After some time in all servers report was fine.

Any idea why system is having inconsistency in behavior.

To have planned order Basic start time as per factory start time

Hello all,

 

I have a plant that starts from 07:00.

When i convert planned order to production order, i see the Basic start time as 00:00.

Could this be made to show as 07:00.

I have the workcenter already set to start time as 07:00, but does not reflect in the Planned order.

Change start/end date of operations in CO02

Hi experts,

 

Is it possible in production order change (t_code: CO02) to change the operation start dates/times of specific operations and recalculate the dates and times of the consecutive operations?

 

For e.g. operation 0030 has start date/time 05.09.2015 -08:30:00 and I want to change this date/time to 06.09.2015-11:30:00.

Is it possible to change the operation start date/time directly in production order change (T_code:co02)? And in a manner that the other operations are rescheduled? So when I reschedule operation 0030 start date/time to 06.09.2015-11:30 the start date of operation 0040 and 0050 should also be recalculated.

Variant configuration on Routing

Hi Experts.

 

I have a question, I am working on a project where the FG is configurable material and MTO (obviously)

 

I want to make a routing for my FG and I want to over write my first standard value. The new value is based on my Sales order Characteristics. Is it possible to do it using object dependencies?

 

 

Case

Material ABC is configurable material. The Assigned class has 2  characteristics  Diameter and Length.

 

both these parameters are filled while entering the sales order and both of them effects the machine production time (Standard Value 1).

 

 

is it possible to change the routing standard value (machine time) using dependencies based on sales order characteristics Diameter and Length?

Batch classification issue (screen)

Hello experts,

 

I am facing strange issue. in co15 when i enter order no ( prod order ),then press enter. then i select material, click on components--> batch management--->create batch,then system should take me to batch classification screen where i need to enter some information like country origin.

but i am unable to get that screen.

I check for that material batch management is active, and in mm03 classification view i can see the characteristics.

 

Configuration is fine. i am unable to understand why am i not getting classification screen in co15.

 

Please help its urgent.

Alternative UOM for Reporting point operation in Repetitive Manufacturing

Hi Gurus,

 

I have a scenario where one of my operation is reporting point and it has FT2 as Operation unit & PC as base unit in task List.

 

I created new material and did all the master data and only then i run the PCC.

 

Now while confirming the operation in the task list unit of measure, following error is seen.

 

Please use the unit of entry of the reporting point

Message no. RM178

 

 

Procedure

Whenm backflushing, you must always use the unit of entry of the reporting point or the routing.

 

 

 

 

 

I tried browsing the blogs but could not find a solution. Please suggest if you guys have any idea on this.

MRp net requirement quantity

Hi All

 

We are adding QC samples in process order quantity using enhancement in process orders.

 

Now we want to exclude this additional QC samples  quantity in MRP net requirement calculation when pegged requirement will look at it  as available quantity.

 

And we want to consider it for dependent requirements

 

Please could you guide how to achieve both  it single MRP run.

There is spindraw machines in spinning process. this type of machine has 30 positions from which 30 diffrent yarn products are obtained. How will be the Process order in this scenario? client doesn't want 30 process orders from 30 different yarn products. Please help me with the steps also. In anticipation of your responses.

How the SAP process orders to be designed? There are various stages (spindraw, ply twist, winding, rewinding). Will there be SAP Process orders for every stage? are these process orders will be of different types? or else how to distinguish between process orders of different stages?

Planned delivery time is not taken into consideration when creating PR

Good afternoon.

 

I am running an MTS scenario, where i am using EX as lot size and PD as MRP type. When i run MRP for my material,

MRP creates one Purchase requisition per day (grouping daily reqs, as it is the standard behavior of EX in MTS scenario),

but it does not take into consideration the planned delivery time for the material. In other words, it creates the PR the same

time that the requirements are needed.

 

Although i have searched, i am not sure i have understood why this is happening. One possible solution could be that for this

material's supplier an inforecord exists, with zero (0) as planned delivery time. I know that MRP, in case an inforecord exists,

it reads the planned delivery time from the inforecord, and in this case this time was 0. So, i entered the inforecord and changed it

from 0 to 10 days, but again, no change in PR date. I also went to transaction OPPQ and for the specific plant i unclicked the

"Scheduling/inforecord agreement" from the "External Procurement" option, but again, nothing changed.

 

Is there something i can do, or this is normal behavior of EX lot size type when in MTS scenario?
